A life on the edge,
The laughter of the people as soundtrack was more (that) I could stand,
That’s how you met me, a girl dressed in black
With a sorrowful story to tell.
You told me how to act,
you told me how to talk,
You told me the way how to make people love me.
A puppet in your hands, as I swallow my pride,
But my voice’s burning in my throat
And I must tell you:
“I’m not what you want me to be
And I won’t be what you force me to be”.
So hear me out, hear me out,
You gotta hear my shout,
Hear me out, hear me out,
I won’t let you bring me down.
Hear me out, hear me out,
You’ll watch me take the door,
So hear me out, hear me out,
You can’t control me anymore.
Remember those days,
Remember the tears that I shed and the hatred I felt,
I can’t live like that,
I simply don’t care, you must like me the way that I am!
“I’m not what you want me to be
And I won’t be what you force me to be”.
So hear me out, hear me out,
You gotta hear my shout,
Hear me out, hear me out,
I won’t let you bring me down.
Hear me out, hear me out,
You’ll watch me take the door,
So hear me out, hear me out,
You can’t control me anymore.

Bare Infinity are Greece's leading and oldest female fronted metal band .
Their latest album "The Butterfly Raiser" has won numerous album of the year and is now nominated for Best metal album at the independent Music Awards USA.
It's a great blend of different metal genres and styles, with great solos in basically every song, just that touch of oriental influences that feel natural but not artificial and above all else, performed by the beautiful, haunting voice of Jelena Dobric, who uses it in a way that is not the typical operatic approach as we are used to from other female-fronted bands wormys_queue
I bought the album on vinyl basically just to have the EP on physical format, I'll be honest.
This is not to say the album is bad (it is absolutely amazing) but the EP blew me away and is honestly one of the best and most versatile albums I've listened to in a while and the vocals are just insanely good.
If you like ExLibris you'll love this band too, no doubt thebluemeanie
A powerful metal opus, blending soaring vocals, intricate melodies, and thunderous riffs for an epic listening experience. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 26, 2023
#3 2023: "XANDRIA reborn", concerning the line-up. In terms of music it is what you expect from one of the leading symphonic metal bands. 75 minutes(!) of bombastic, dramatic, well arranged and varied female fronted metal. Each song on this long player is catchy, full of pathos and a hit, Also the new singer makes a great job and brings soul into the heavy soundscapes. A must have release for fans of this genre. Not original, but better than all Nightwash releases since "Dark Passion Play"! H.L.
